Haircare Grabs

Now that I had shared my haircare finds, faults and stocks in my "Products for frizzy hair" post, one may wonder, despite having loads on hand, why another haul? No? - no, am sure you'd understand :)

I have a small medico near my office that stocks Aroma Magic and Kama and Khadi and the likes. So I wouldnt miss a chance. After listening to the shopkeeper, who wouldnt stop praising Kama products and complaining how less its available (yes! we hear that too!) I decided to go in for the hair care products.

My recent Kama & Himalaya
Haircare Haul
Having heard so much (or so less! - either ways it works as the Marketing honchos would know ;)) about Kama I didnt have any doubts - as in it wouldnt be bad, but as to how good it is, only I can tell when I try it out. Also given the ayurvedic connections I couldnt help remember my "Vythri Spa Resort" experience at Wyanad, Kerala - with their head and marma body massage!

So here is what I got:
  • From the Ayurveda range of Kama - Bringadi - Intensive Hair Treatment (its a hair oil) - Rs.625 for 250ml
  • From the Les Jardins D'Inde (French for "From the Gardens of India") Range of Kama:
  • Sanobar Hair Cleanser (with Pure Essential Oils of Cypress & Orange) - Rs.385 for 200ml
  • Sanobar Hair Conditioner (with Pure Essential Oils of Cypress & Orange) - Rs.345 for 200ml
I had initially just picked a smaller bottle of Bringadi Oil but shopkeepers advise was right - Why pay Rs.375 for a 100ml while I get 250ml for Rs.625? And its oil! it cant hurt me ;)

Of  course I didnt leave with just that, I also grabbed a Himalaya Protein Hair Care Cream as it sounded luxurious, esp with natural proteins from indian goosberry, chickpea and wheatgerm!  Cost me Rs.100 for the pot shown having 175g of the conditioner (strangely there is no 'How to' written!). And thus it is here with me now.

All smiles whenever I tend to my hair! Will be back soon when I start using these with some opinions! So long...

Wow..

That was a lovely haul Gaea..I too love Kama products.
Bringadhi costs 650?? That is way too much. It is something commonly used in Kerala and the most authentic oil doesnt even cost 1/2 the price for a litre.

Waiting for your reviews on Sanobar ones..

Oh no! If I knew that you were gonna buy the himalaya thingy, I would have told you not to! I have it too and am just about ready to give up on it :( Mine says to use before and after shampooing for soft, manageable hair. I tried it both ways and it's just about 'eh..'. Don't use it when your hair is wet, coz for some reason it'll take really long to dry and when it dries it'll look super-dooper oily and feel crunchy. Try using it when you hair is almost dry. When I did this my hair felt soft for a few hours. Then all was back to normal. Let me know how it works for you.
