Well not fully true.
And I havent dared to show how it looks. Lets just say it got too short for what I am and how I look right now :(
My inspiration - Jade, esp since I feel we are in the same boat of sorts, post-baby weight loss and she seems to have grouped together earlier and keeping at it wonderfully.
Tara keeps writing these nice things about good eating I once used to follow. So I only get guilty while I munch on some cake or load the cheesy dip!
Long time blogger friend Rads is getting sleeker ;) and Rati is looking hotter :D these days
So there! no scarcity for inspirations eh!
PLUS I love shopping (ha I said it!) and a size 8 or 10 wouldn't hurt for the snazzy outfits out here in Aussie! [I am way beyond size 8, I can target a 12 maybe!]
(And nooo! none of these beautiful ladies have compensated me to write so here ;))
But of course my recent visit to a salon nearby to cut my hair after a long 8-mon gap only ended up in making me feel the NEED to lose some below my head too! Proportion my friends is key!
So... I NEED to do something!
Less than 18 months back I knew exactly what I was eating, what to do and how to go about it. I was even going to write a series on this lifestyle change of mine that had taken me 2 years to put in place.
I have been trying to refresh my memory the last two weeks. Haven't done bad as I have been eating better (= fatty foods once a day instead of twice or thrice). But since I am still breast feeding I do tend to go hypoglycemic so am having to keep a careful watch on either sides!
Stage 1 for me is going to be:
Before I go onto snacking right, cutting carbs and sugar, deciding on aerobics or interval training etc., let me get these right first.
And Oh! I need to start counting calories - again, that which I knew by heart sometime back!
Two of my favorite sites that help me do this easier - Calorie Counter and Live Strong (used to be called thedailyplate).
You think am doin' ok?! :)

Stage 1 for me is going to be:
- Cut down Sweets (not sugar perse) and Fat - Think I am slowly doing this. Past 2 weeks meant:
- Always have some chocolates handy for my low sugar pangs but learnt to keep it just for that!
- My coffee now tastes better with demarara brown sugar
- Desserts, ummm - weak point. Flavored Yoghurts and one Twix mini replacing a bowl of ice cream but not always :( But who can resist a Caramel Honey Macademia Nut Gourmet icecream with a raisin cake!
- I need to give this aspect another 1-2 weeks to stabilise
- Load Up on Breakfast - The lesser I eat in the morning, the bigger my late afternoon cravings get. On my list are:
- Muesli with Soy Milk
- Flavored Oats with Milk
- Multi grain Bread with Jam / Egg White
- Dosa (Indian Rice crepe) with leftover veggies
- Plus the delightful OJ to finish up
- Working Out - hmm... do I sound lazy already?! Yea I need to get to it. At least 10 mins a day for now!
- Just today I made myself start with my go-to - Suryanamaskars (Sun Salutations)! With almost no work to my body for monthss at length, I could only start with 4 sets! These are very effective at working almost all your body parts; a great warm-up work out or a calorie buster in itself if done repetitively (like 30-60 sets)

wow, wishing you all the best ^_^. I have my strawberry muesli left over somewhere in my kitchen. You reminded that I have some left which needs to be finished. Currently what I am doing is preparing 1ltr of green tea and storing it in my thermos. And having it every day for the past 1week now. 2ltr of green tea daily. I'v noticed that my skin looks healthier now cause of the green tea+water intake daily. ^_^

Hello! (A.B.P?) :) Thanks...
Yess all these flavored teas are supposed to do amazing things. Ugh, shame I cant stand it. Always keep buying but can never get myself to drink it. Yay to you! 2L! wow...
Wowww..you made a nice list!! I can never stick to any of my plans....except for the muesli ...that I eat..but then that's my regular breakfast..not really a weightloss idea :D
@Gaea: Oh, it takes time to get used to it. I got myself a 1 ltr MILTON thermosteel which is shaped like a tea pot. So I brew myself 1 ltr of green tea and store it there. Slowly slowy while lazing around in the house I pour myself a cup of that. Plus, I guess the weather helps too. Cause in Delhi/NCR its slowly getting cold. ^_^
BTW I read somewhere that instead of trying to loose a couple of kilos by dieting and gyming for awhile. Better try to change your lifestyle to a healthy living lifestyle. Which I try to follow hence, the GREEN TEA lmao.
Rads - Maybe you dont need it ;) at least not as badly as me am sure! tat's the thing - for me too - i should need it badly enough :|
@crazypoplock - great. yep am all for lifestyle change too as I have written :)
Oh, great project Gaea. I'm sure you'll do fine. Good luck :)
All I need to do is eat a healthy breakfast. I have my favourite which is Milo cereal. I can't stomach oats:( If I just make a little bit of effort, I'm sure I can get healthy too.
Will be stalking your blog for inspiration :)
x
Thanks vm Su! Ah it feels good getting such motivation out here :)
Milo cereal sounds fun... just had a Chilled Milo shake or some sort last sunday - was nice!
Actually oats arent my most fav too, it nauseates me sometimes. But flavored with some dry fruits works ok.
Sure, welcome anytime :D will try and let know how it goes...
